8 % increase in Stockholm: 810 000 guestnights in March 2014

Stockholm continues to be the engine of the swedish hospitality industry. Stockholm had 2,1 million guestnights during the first quarter, which is an increase with 9 percent compared to the same period last year. Sweden in total experienced an increase of 1 percent during the same period. 

Just in March Stockholm County had 810 000 guestnights, which is 60 000 more than last year and an increase with 8 percent compared to the same month last year. March represented a gain for both international and domestic guest nights, with an increase of 9% respective 8% compared to the same period last year.

The strongest international gain came from outside of Europe, mainly from USA, India and Asia, with an increase of +38 in March, and +42 in total during the first three months compared to the same period last year.
