Guestnights Stockholm: 7% increase in February

Stockholm continues to show a steady increase in the number of overnight stays. In February 735 000 overnight stays were made at commercial accommodations in Stockholm County, which is an increase of 7% according to a report from SCB/Tillväxtverket.

- January and February tend to be weak months and it is thefore a joy that the year, so far is stronger than in 2014. The trend shows that the tourism industry is becoming increasingly important for the region's growth, says Thomas Andersson, CEO of Stockholm Visitors Board.

The year, so far, January-February, shows an increase of the number of bednights by 12 percent compared to the same period last year.
