The very best of Stockholm is soon at the fingertips of Chinese visitors. The launch of an exciting Stockholm mini program for the lifestyle app WeChat offers great new ways to find out about everything from the most popular restaurants to local weather forecasts, while on vacation in Stockholm.

The Stockholm destination mini program aims to inspire and simplify finding information to almost one billion WeChat users in China. Forward-thinking technical solutions such as WeChat are a natural match for Stockholm, one of the leading tech-cities in the world.

The city of Stockholm works closely with the trade industry to continue making Stockholm an accessible, friendly and functioning destination for Chinese visitors and the Stockholm mini program for WeChat is a successful example of this collaboration.

China is the largest outbound tourism market in the world. The number of Chinese tourists in Stockholm has increased greatly over just a few years. This growing demographic has a burgeoning interest in the city and considerable potential to expand even more. As many as 150 000 Chinese guests discovered the Swedish capital in 2018.

The miniprogram is a joint cooperation between Visit Stockholm, Visit Sweden, Tencent, Scandic Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group, Nordic Choice Hotels, Elite Hotels of Sweden, Swedavia and Pandox.
