Dammen

12:00–14:55 Concert with Kulturskolan Stockholm (Stockholm School of the Arts)

There will be lots of music; pop, rock, jazz, big band and funk, when students from Europe’s largest school of the arts, Kulturskolan Stockolm, enter the stage. Come listen to a fun, fast-paced and charming show!

15:45–16:45 Talk: Music – a human right?

Around the world, artists, musicians and authors are living under threat and persecution because of their art. Sweden is one of the countries in the world that is most generous and open towards refugees fleeing persecution because of their artwork. Networks, municipalities and the government are deeply committed to this issue.
Why and how are artists being censored? Why are foreign artists given refuge in Sweden?
Welcome to an important discussion, moderated by music journalist Ametist Azordegan.

Panelists:

  • Lavon Volski, Belorussian musician
  • Sissela Nordling Blanco, chairman for the Stockholm Counsel for Human Rights and Democracy
  • Ole Reitov, Freemuse
  • Kerstin Brunnberg, journalist
  • Fredrik Elg, Fristad Malmö
  • Alfons Karabuda, chairman of the board at SKAP

The discussion is arranged by Kulturhuset Stadsteatern and the Stockholm
