Today May 9: Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm

Todays focus in Stockholm is on Euro Fan Café. Meet the competitors from Serbia, Latvia and Albania. The Swedish fan chapter, Melodifestivalklubben, is honouring the previous six swedish Winners. Euro Fan Café has previously been the party place for fans. This year, Euro Fan Café opens up for stockholmers and visitors of the city. Here you can enjoy the company of other Eurovision fans, get something to eat and get more information about the contest and the events that are taking place during the Eurovision weeks.

Euro Fan Café will consist of three rooms on two floors with different concepts and four bars. A large lounge room in two floors with a stage and two bars, a smaller room with a bar and stage, as well as an outdoor terrace with a bar.

Euro Fan Café is open 11 am. to 8 pm


EUROVISION VILLAGE

Dammen

12:00–15:00 Dance introduction (“prova på”) and performances

Balettakademien, one of the leading dance schools in Scandinavia, offers performances and the chance to try street dance, jazz dance and dance hall. The introduction classes are suitable for all ages and don’t require any previous dance experience. Every hour you can enjoy the show and every 30 minutes there is an introduction class.

  • 12:00–12:15: Dance for everybody. The start of the activities of
    Balettakademien.
  • 12:15–12:40: Dance performance. Students from Balettakademien
    performing on stage.
  • 12:40–13:00: Dance introduction: Street dance, the genre of dances
    that have emerged from street and club cultures
  • 13:00–13:40: Dance performance. Students from Balettakademien
    performing on stage.
  • 13:40–14:00: Dance introduction: Jazz dance, the dance that is the
    foundation of modern dance styles that is seen on stage shows
    and in music videos. Jazz dance originates from the African dance
    styles, but has elements from many different parts of the world.
  • 14:00–14:40: Dance performance. Students from Balettakademien
    performing on stage.
  • 14:40–15:00: Dance introduction. Dancehall, a Jamaican genre of
    popular music, which combines music with toasting.
19:00–00:00 DJ Leo.B

Great party atmosphere when the Eurovision Village’s DJ Leo.B plays pop music at Dammen. You can be sure of glitz and glam when DJ Leo.B is playing.
