Stockholm experienced a record summer in terms of tourism. Between June and August more than 4.4 million guest nights were recorded, which is an increase of 12 percent compared with the same period last year. The largest increase came from international guests. A total increase in foreign overnight stays in the county with 13 percent.

The largest increase came from outside Europe (15%) and from two of the largest foreign markets: Great Britain (24%) and the USA (20%). The main international markets for Stockholm are Germany, UK, and USA.
