On July 12-16, Stockholm will welcome around 800 participants from all over the world to Stockholm Waterfront Congress Center to participate in an enormous meeting for bloggers and the travel industry.
Tbex is the world’s largest gathering of travel bloggers, authors, new media content creators and travel industry professionals who work in social media. This summer, Stockholm will host the major annual event held in Europe. First on the agenda is a number of experience-based tours of Stockholm, and from July 14, there will be a seminar program and workshops on how to best reach out via social media. The first days will provide opportunities to partake in numerous activities in Stockholm, such as city, rooftop and archipelago tours, as well as excursions in the footsteps of Alfred Nobel and an exploration of Stockholm’s cuisine.
Social media giants with hundreds of thousands of followers will speak at the conference. Together, the participants reach many millions of readers.
Tech is also a consistent theme for participants. An app produced by a Stockholm-based company will give participants the chance to have free entry to clubs to experience Stockholm’s nightlife.
“Tbex is one of the biggest projects we’re doing this year. It’s an incredible chance to feature Stockholm to the entire world through social media,” says Karin Mäntymäki, acting CEO for Visit Stockholm. “It’s particularly fun that participants really want to get a sense of Stockholm and are staying both before and after the conference.”
